Buddha Images

Buddha images are made of various materials:

Derivation of the Images of Buddha

Images of Buddha did change a lot through out the history. Northern, Far Eastern, and Southeastern asians have different looks of Buddha images. For example, Buddha images in India usually have pointer nose, in comparison with Buddha images in China and Japan with a flatter nose.

Buddha images has derived bit by bit along the history of Buddhism. For an example, you will find Buddha images of over 1000 years old does not have long ears hanging down to the shoulders.
