WATERFALLS IN PHILIPPINES
Marķa Cristina Falls is a waterfall in Mindanao island and a landmark of Iligan City, also known as the City of Majestic Waterfalls because of its majestic waterfalls (approximately more than 20). It is located 8.5 kilometers away southwest of the city proper. Well-known for its natural beauty and grandeur, the 320-feet high waterfalls is also the primary source of power for the city's industries and the whole Mindanao region. Its waters flow through the Agus channel and come from the Lake Lanao located in Marawi City. Although 90% of the waters are used to power the hydroelectric plant, the cascades still look majestic. The falls is a main tourist attraction in the Philippines. For educational tours, arrangements can be made with the local National Power Corporation (NPC) officials at its office in Ditucalan.Limunsudan Falls is a two-tiered waterfalls located in Barangay Rogongon, 55 kilometers from the city proper. It is said to be the country's highest waterfall with the height of 870 feet, with the lower part cascading alone higher than the Maria Cristina Falls.
Dodiongan Falls is a 20 metre (65 ft) high waterfall located in Barangay Bonbonon, 14.5 km away from Iligan City in Lanao del Norte province of the Philippines. The area is often touted as a tourist destination for nature lovers travelling in the Philippines, and at the bottom of the falls is a pool which is advertised as being ideal for swimming.
