Seinnyet Nyima & Seinnyet Ama Paya

Seinnyet Nyima and Seinnyet Ama Paya meaning "The Seinnyet Sisters Pagoda". Nyima meaning younger sister and Ama meaning elder sister. There are two pagodas standing side by side, donated by two sisters of the Bagan monarch.

Seinnyet Ama Paya
It was built during the 11th century by the Seynnyet Queen, but certain parts of the temple were restored at the 13th century. It is a square form with four entries and four external porches. The principal entry faces the West. The superstructure is composed of four terraces and Sikhara posed on a square base.

Seinnyet Nyima Paya
The junior temple has all the angles by the terraces small stupas and on the second terrace each one of these small zedi is kept by a lion. Niches shelter Buddhas in sitting position. This building is probably from the 11th century. The top is crowned by a stylized sunshade posed on a room of the relics and rings concentric.
