• Shan Museum - The museum is actually the palace of a Shan chief or sawbwa known as "Sao SHwe Thaike". He was the last Shan sawbwa. The collection of Shan regalia, photos, are displayed. It is a two-storey building and the house is made of teak with ancient curvings.

• Yadana Mann Aung Pagoda - This is the oldest pagoda in Nyaungshwe. The unique step-spired pagoda is an interesting place to visit while you are in town.
   

• Shwe Yaunghew Kyaung - It is an 18th century old monastery which features a vulnerable consecrated hall, with big oval windows.
