Around Sittwe

Since Sittwe is a town right on the tip of the Kaladan River flowing into the sea, it is surrounded by many small and large islands. Some of theses places are listed as follows.

Phaynoka, Bayonga, Bayonka are the three islands near Sittwe. You can visit theses places just by a day-trip. Small Oil-well productions can be found on theses island. The locals look for oil and produce them into kerosene, wax for local use. Fishermen and coconut farmers live in Bayonga island.
