Sittwe
sittwe is the port city of Rakhine State. It sits on the mouth of the Kaladan River where it empties into the Bay of Bengal. People here have the enjoyment of much spicier foods and brigher clothing.
During the monsoon season, July to October, it can rain often and heavily in Sittwe. In the centre of the town, a distinct monument can be seen. It is the Atulamarazein Pyilonechanthar Payagyi. Inside the Pagoda is a large Buddha image with "royal attire" having crown and jewelled chest piece. The Buddhist Museum is also an interesting place to visit in Sittwe.
