Teaching of Tharmanya Sayardaw
Thamanya Sayadaw's Words of Advice
In this great universe, all creatures may achieve:-
1. All human beings are equal, but their power of knowledge is unequal.
2. Even if the power of knowledge is equal, their attainment of accumulated virtues is unequal.
3. Even if the accumulated virtues is equal, the amount of zeal and effort is unequal.
4. Even if the amount of zeal and effort is equal, the amount of consciousness is unequal.
5. Even if the amount of consciousness are equal, the amount of concentration is unequal.
6. Even if the concentration is equal, the amount of connections in the cycle of life is unequal.
7. Even if the amount of connections in this cycle of life is equal, the prayers are unequal.
8. Even if the prayers are equal, the amount of virtuous offerings are unequal in life.
Therefore, to gain a high powered attainment in the goal of life,
1. We have to offer what we ever we have to offer without a stint and offer things or charitable belongings to be offered with a good virtuous good will.
2. If we obtain principles in life, we will gain a concentrated mind.
3. If we gain a concentrated mind, then only we can gain mind above matter.
4. Only if we have mind above matter, we can have control of all celestial beings.
5. Only if we can have control of all celestial beings, we can be able to know the truth of our natural attributes.
6. Only if we can know the truth of our natural attributes, we can obtain inner peace and eternal tranquility.
7. Only if we can gain inner peace and eternal tranquility, we will obtain the perfect knowledge.
8. Only if we gain the perfect knowledge, we will become a virtuous absolute powerful supreme person with the knowledge of perceiving the truth and wisdom.
