Background History 

We are now at Version 4 of Win Myanmar Font. We would like to present the development of Win Myanmar Font creation from earliest version to now by timeline. You can find  as follow: 

  • 1992-March (Win Myanmar Fonts Version 1.0)


    Version 1 Brochure 
    • Exhibited  Pioneer Myanmar Font  on 13 March 1992 as "the first multi-purpose Burmese software for MS-Windows"
    • It was well compatible with various versions of Windows between version 1.04 to 3.11.
    • Pioneer Burmese font was later replaced by Win Typewriter Font. The output of this font looks really like that of the regular Olympia Myanmar typewriter.

  • 1992-August (Win Myanmar Fonts Version 2)

    Release 2
    Brochure & Manual
    • Then comes another brother font: Researcher Myanmar Font

  • 1993-Dec (Win Myanmar Fonts Release 3)

    Release 3 Brochure 

    • Launched over 40 fonts including:

      • Win Myanmar Typeset: for professional desktop-publishers

      • Win Myanmar Office: for ordinary office users

      • Win Kachin
        Win Kayah
        Win Kayin
        Win Chin
        Win Mon
        Win Shan

    • Conversion program

  • (Now) 2004-Oct (Win Myanmar Fonts Version 4.0)

    • Over 80 fonts (Including additional fonts over 40)

    • can see Microsoft Word & Excel , Windows Destop in Myanmar language

    • can give file name and folder name with Myanmar language

    • can give  variable, function, procedure' s name of VB, C++  programming with Myanmar language

    • not need to type Alt key+numbers for "pat sint"

    • free language help for children
